Tideborne Cities
Tideborne Cities is a city-builder with a twist: the water keeps coming. Every few turns the tide rises, and districts you built too low simply flood. So you're not just growing a city, you're constantly deciding what to raise, what to abandon, and what to rebuild higher.
It plays in calm, thoughtful sessions. You can pick it up for five minutes to adjust a few platforms or sink into a long planning run. The interface is clean, with pinch-to-zoom that feels natural and tap menus that don't overwhelm. There's a gentle tension underneath the pretty visuals.
We appreciated that it doesn't punish mistakes harshly. Lose a district and the game nudges you toward recovery instead of a game-over screen. It's strategy that wants you to keep playing, not to quit in frustration.
