A week with Legends of Slots

April 9, 2026 · Marta Nowak

I'll admit I wasn't excited to install Legends of Slots. The name made me assume it was another flashy spinner I'd delete in ten minutes. Instead I ended up opening it every day for a week, usually on my morning tram.

The trick is the heroes. You spin three reels of colorful fantasy symbols, but the real game is building a roster of little characters who each rewrite what matching does. My first favorite was a tiny archer who turned every arrow symbol into a bonus combo. Once I had him, I was chasing the next one almost immediately.

Controls stay out of the way, which is exactly what you want on a phone. One tap spins, a swipe swaps your active hero, and a long press tells you what everything does. I played the whole thing one-handed and never felt lost.

If I had a complaint, it's that the later unlocks slow down a bit. But the art is cheerful, nothing feels sneaky, and the pacing respects your time. For a casual game you dip into between other things, Legends of Slots earns its spot on my home screen.
